Empowering. Seductive.
Unforgettable.
I grew up in the far north of Norway, where the dark lasts most of the winter. I write from Wales now, still mostly at night, which probably explains something.
I've always been a sensitive person, and for a long time I couldn't put feelings into words—until I started putting pen to paper. The stories carried everything I couldn't say out loud: the insecurities, the wanting, the fears I didn't yet have names for. I've left a little of myself in every character since—in school notebooks, in private, and eventually online.
The first story I ever shared was on a Norwegian writing site that a dear librarian told me about. I barely remember the plot now, only that it was fantastical—a child trying to bring colour into a world that felt too narrow. It won story of the month, and they posted me a bar of chocolate as the prize. I was over the moon.
I didn't post again until early 2020, on my first Wattpad account, under the name Cornelia Fields. I'd come through a years-long illness that had kept me homebound and then bedbound, and I had a great deal waiting to be said. I never finished that first story—partway through I realised it wasn't a book I would want to read. That became the most useful lesson I've had: write the book that doesn't exist yet and should.
Yes, Sirs was that book, and it existed long before I wrote a word of it. Through the years of illness, the desire I couldn't express, I kept inside. I daydreamed about these characters and the world they lived in—one where shame had no place in desire, where people explored freely, and where choices came from their own wants rather than other people's opinions. It began as an escape and became a passion.
I wrote it because I believe sex shouldn't be taboo. Pleasure shouldn't be shamed. Bodies should be celebrated. Desires should be explored. It was the story I needed when my own desires were locked away, and my readers showed me that others might need it too.
Those readers changed the course of my life. I'll never forget the first one who found Yes, Sirs—whenever I doubted the story, their encouragement kept me going. My story has since gotten 77.8M+ reads, and the community around the series has become a kind of family. After years of not being able to speak, they made me feel that what I had to say was worth telling.
When I'm not writing, you'll find me fishing, gaming, or over a cup of tea with friends. My favourite kind of day is a beach, a notebook, and music in my ears.
Yes, Sirs is the first book of Desire's Den.
